How to counter VyperHow to counter

Counter heroes, counter items and the window to fight

Heroes that do best against Vyper, the items that do best when Vyper is on the enemy team, and the window to fight. Each number compares a hero's (or item's) result against Vyper with its usual result, relative to how everyone does against Vyper, so neither a strong counter-pick nor a strong Vyper skews the list.

Their combo: Vyper poisons you with Lethal Venom, petrifies you for 2.2s with Petrifying Bola (the venom ignores the petrify’s damage block), then bursts you when it ends.

When to fight: Petrifying Bola is on a 115s cooldown. Once it’s used, commit.

Beware: Stay outside its 12m radius. Lethal Venom hits hardest below 30% health, and Slither tier 3 gives her a 180 barrier on slides.
