How to counter ApolloHow to counter
Counter heroes, counter items and the window to fight
Heroes that do best against Apollo, the items that do best when Apollo is on the enemy team, and the window to fight. Each number compares a hero's (or item's) result against Apollo with its usual result, relative to how everyone does against Apollo, so neither a strong counter-pick nor a strong Apollo skews the list.
Their combo: Apollo lunges in with Flawless Advance (up to 3 lunges), braces with Riposte to deflect the next hero attack, then dashes to any enemy he chooses and stuns them.
When to fight: Riposte only answers hero attacks. Don’t shoot into it; wait until it’s used, then commit while it’s on cooldown.
Beware: Itani Lo Sahn makes him invulnerable while it plays out and gives him bonus damage against heroes under half health. Back off if you’re low.
